With heartfelt lyrics and a melodic rocking tune, this Father Daughter song tugs at the hearts of Dads and Moms hoping to inspire their girls to make their mark on the world. Great for play lists for baby showers, Fathers day, and Dad's birthday.
When our second daughter Jessie was born, I remember saying "It's your world. I'm just living in it." Jessie was a bit of a miracle baby. My wife MaryAnne was on mandatory hospital bed rest and overcame dangerous complications. With the help of modern medicine and amazing nurses and doctors, Jessie was born a perfect happy baby. People describe her as "the happiest kid."
Jessie and my oldest daughter Marissa were the inspiration for this song. "It's your world, I'm just livin' in it" became the catalyst and ultimately the chorus for the song. Recalling memories of both girls spawned the remaining lyrics. Like when they squeezed my hands to bond with me as an infant. With this song I hope hope to inspire them to live their lives to the fullest. "Time won't quit, make the most of it" and "write down those dreams and watch the come true, the story of your life is counting on you."
Dad and daughter moments like playing in the rain, swimming, or teaching them how to ride a bike are reflected in the song. I also hoped to remind my girls to overcome adversity and deal with some of the challenges they'll certainly have as they grow older - "Your heart might get broken a time or two go watch the sunrise, you'll love the view."
One fond memory with both girls is they had this common fascination for spotting the moon on any given day. "One day you'll find, I wont always be by your side, if you can't find your way, find the moon in the sky."
This song was recorded at 17th Street Recording and was produced by Lewis Richards who has worked with such bands as Sublime, 80 Proof, and Seedless.

Welcome home, glad you’re here
It’s a fragile world, but have no fear
I will love you, all that I can
Look up at me, squeeze my hand
I’ll buy you a bike, I’ll take you to school
We’ll play in the rain, we’ll swim in the pool
Sweet baby girl, It’s your world
Whatever you do I’ll be there for you
Time won’t quit so make the most of it
It’s your world, I’m just living in it
Run by the ocean, go chase some birds
Build your sandcastles, be good to the earth
Make some music, let your soul come alive
Read a good book, let your imagination fly
Write down those dreams, and watch them come true
The story of your life is, counting on you
Sweet baby girl, It’s your world
Whatever you do I’ll be there for you
Time won’t quit so make the most of it
It’s your world, I’m just living in it
You’ll fall down, you’ll scrape your knee
Just get back up, smile for me
Your heart might get broken, a time or two
Go watch the sunrise, you’ll love the view
One day you’ll find I won’t be by your side
If you can’t find your way, find the moon in the sky
Sweet baby girl, It’s your world
Whatever you do I’ll be there for you
Time won’t quit so make the most of it
It’s your world, I’m just living in it

Always driven by music, I started pursuing a passion for songwriting later in life. There is something magical about the
progression of a song. I tend to start with lyrics and over time a melody will manifest itself. Once in the studio, witnessing a song come to life is an incredible feeling. Enjoy! Open to working with other artists & brands. Proceeds support my girls' college funds....more
